FUTA Aims for more Gold at NUGA

Federal University of Technology Akure athletes for the forth-coming Nigeria University Games, have stepped up their preparations with all eyes on Babajide Okulaja. Okulaja is a four hundred level physics student who is primed to win the long jump event because of his longstanding performance at the national level. He will be leading other FUTA students who also are medal potentials in the event that will be hosted by Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Osun State February 12-22.

FUTA Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adebiyi Daramola charged the athletes and officials to give their best at the Games and show the excellence that FUTA has become renowned for in all areas of human endeavors. He urged them to be good ambassadors of the University saying they will be supported all the way by the management of FUTA. Michael Ajibua, Director of Sports, assured the FUTA Community that the athletes will do the institution proud. He hinged his optimism on the commitment of the students in training and their determination to win laurels for the institution.
