Aluta Spirit: Riot in Bowen University [Pix]
Last updated on by Olusegun Fapohunda
Bowen University students have displayed their “ALUTA SPIRIT” and that they are no longer students of “Glorified secondary school”. There was a somewhat violent protest by the students this evening in response to some unfavourable rules laid down by the new Vice Chancellor.
From a source, we gathered that there was a hike in school fees, meal time was fixed, students were asked to be taking their coolers to the cafeteria, all students were asked to leave the dormitories by 6am and not return until 4pm even if they don’t have lectures among other rules that could inconvenience the students.
