Ebonyi State University, EBSU, has started its Post UTME and Direct Entry screening process for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The form is open to candidates who chose EBSU as first choice, as well as candidates who picked other schools but now want to change to EBSU. Applicants must have scored 150 and above in the 2026/2027 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination before they can fill the screening form.
EBSU Post UTME Application Date
The EBSU Post UTME and Direct Entry application starts on 22 May 2026.
The closing date is 22 June 2026. Candidates who meet the entry rules should complete the online form within this period, since the university tied the admission process to the screening timeline.
Who Can Apply for EBSU Post UTME?
Candidates who chose Ebonyi State University as first choice and scored at least 150 in the 2026/2027 UTME can apply.
Candidates who chose other schools may also apply if they are willing to change to EBSU. Such candidates should complete the change before the Post UTME application ends, since EBSU will use the admission records available through JAMB.
EBSU Direct Entry Screening
Direct Entry candidates who chose EBSU must also take part in the online screening.
They should access the school portal and complete the process as stated by the university. They must also ask their former schools to verify their “A” Level certificates on the JAMB portal, so EBSU can recommend them to JAMB for admission.
EBSU Screening Fee
The Post UTME screening fee is ₦2,000 only.
The fee is non-refundable. Candidates should use their correct details during payment and registration, as errors can affect the screening record.
Notes for All Candidates
EBSU has given several rules that candidates must follow during the screening process.
Candidates awaiting NABTEB O’Level, WAEC May/June or NECO June/July 2026 results can apply. Once the results are released, they must upload them where required.
Names must match across all records. A candidate’s name on O’Level certificates, UTME results and other registration documents must be the same, as name mismatch may lead to disqualification.
Candidates do not need to appear for physical screening.
EBSU will notify candidates of their admission status through the EBSU portal. Candidates must also upload their O’Level results to both the EBSU portal and JAMB portal before the university can recommend them for admission.
Any candidate offered admission must accept the offer on CAPS or the JAMB portal within two weeks. If the candidate fails to accept within that period, the admission offer will be withdrawn.
