University of Abuja International Institute for Publishing Studies (UIIPS) Admission Form

The University of Abuja International Institute for Publishing Studies (UIIPS) invites applications for its professional Master’s degree in Publishing Studies (MPS) for the 2023/2024 academic session, Stream II.

This programme addresses the need for a professional curriculum in publishing studies in Nigeria and aims to set high academic and professional standards.

Overview of the UIIPS Programme

UIIPS was established to improve academic standards and promote professional values in publishing.

The programme equips students with skills relevant to academic institutions, businesses, and the publishing industry worldwide.

Students admitted will gain access to experiential learning, advanced facilities, and networking opportunities with international scholars from countries such as the UK, USA, Canada, and South Africa.

Admission Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Five O’ Level credit passes, including English and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings.
• A Bachelor’s Honours degree in any field from a recognised university.
• Higher National Diploma (HND) or Postgraduate Diploma from a recognised institution.
• Other professional qualifications recognised by the University of Abuja.

Programme Duration

Applications are accepted in two intakes:

• November for January admissions.
• June for August admissions.

How to Apply

A non-refundable application fee of Thirty Thousand Naira (₦30,000) is required.

Payments must be made through REMITA on the University of Abuja Portal.

To apply for the UIIPS Master’s programme, follow these steps:

1. Visit the UNIABUJA Application Portal.
2. Click on “International Institute for Publishing Studies” from the list of options.
3. Enter your details, including surname, first name, other name, email address, and phone number.
4. Click “Next” to generate the RRR for payment.
5. Complete the payment using MasterCard or Visa Card on the REMITA platform.
6. After successful payment, you will be redirected back to the portal, and an application number will be generated.
7. Log in using the application number and surname as the password to complete your application.

The application period closes on Sunday, 19th January 2025.
