Breaking Down the New Measures:

  1. Flexible Fee Payment:
    • The University now offers payment by instalment to all its students.
    • Students need to note that while this flexibility is granted, full payment must still be finalised by the commencement of the second semester registration.
  2. Revamped Work-Study Programme:
    • UNILAG is proud to announce a rejuvenated student work-study programme.
    • Not only has the scope of this programme been expanded, but the remuneration has also seen a notable uplift.
    • Those eager to seize this opportunity should reach out to the Dean, Student Affairs Division.
  3. Scholarship Avenues:
    • A myriad of scholarship opportunities now await students.
    • All details and application avenues can be sourced from the office of the Dean, Student Affairs Division.
  4. Support for Indigent Students:
    • UNILAG recognises the diverse economic backgrounds of its students.
    • Eligible students facing financial challenges can expect support from the University.
    • This assistance can be availed by contacting the Dean, Student Affairs Division.
  5. Triple A Initiative:
    • Under the innovative “Triple A (Adopt an Akokite)” project, alumni and philanthropic Nigerians are given the opportunity to support a student’s journey at the University.
    • More details on this laudable initiative can be found on the official UNILAG website.
  6. Pay for Mentors Project:
    • Aimed at nurturing the brightest minds, the University introduces the “Pay for Mentors Project”.
    • This is yet another stride by UNILAG to enhance the academic environment for its exceptional students.
  7. Collaboration with Lagos BRT:
    • To address transportation concerns, the Management has successfully collaborated with the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA).
    • As a result, additional BRT dedicated routes will now cater to students commuting from the Berger Bus Stop axis and the Oshodi/Iyana Ipaja areas in Lagos State.

The University wishes to emphasise that these strategies are dynamic. Continuous reviews and enhancements will be made to serve the community better. Students, parents, and guardians are assured of the unwavering commitment of the UNILAG Management towards their welfare.

UNILAG Management extends its best wishes to all its students and stakeholders.
