Police Urge Students to Shun Crimes, Social Vices

The Ogun State Police Command has urged the students of the Junior Secondary School of the African Church Grammar School, Ita Eko, Abeokuta, Ogun State to shun crimes and social vices.

The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, made this charge on Wednesday, while delivering a speech at the career talk organised by the junior arm of the African Church Grammar School, Abeokuta.

He highlighted some crimes and social vices that were capable of damaging the careers of the children, while also sharing ways of averting crime in the society.

He encouraged the students to shun exam practices by preparing well for exams.

He said, “You need to see the statutory security agencies as good and enviable professions as the Federal Government has revived their structures to meet up with the international standards, especially the Nigeria Police Force, with the newly upgraded Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil, Kano State.”

Adejobi encouraged the students to shun cultism, hooliganism and vandalism.
