UNILAG Admission Exercise 2019/2020 : Beware of Fraudsters
University of Lagos (UNILAG) admission scam alert! Beware of fraudsters who claim to work in the “Office of the Registrar (Academics), University of Lagos, issuing fake admission letters.
It has come to the notice of the University authorities that unsuspecting members of the public seeking admission into the University are being defrauded and issued fake admission letters by a fraudulent group who claim to work in the “Office of the Registrar (Academics), University of Lagos”.
This is a SCAM. In the University of Lagos, there is NO Office called “Office of the Registrar (Academics), University of Lagos”. These manner of letters do not emanate from the University of Lagos, as it is only the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) that issues Admission Letters into undergraduate programmes.
Members of the public are hereby advised to follow due process, be cautious and vigilant to avoid falling prey to admission fraudsters.
The University website (https://unilag.edu.ng) and official social media platforms are the only authentic online sources of information on admissions. Undergraduate admission letters are not issued online by the University on these platforms. In addition, the University Admissions personnel do not meet with prospective students at locations different from the Admissions Office, 1st Floor, Senate House, University of Lagos (UNILAG).
