School of Health Information Management at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital Bauchi invites applications for full-time programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Two courses are available for study.

These courses are National Diploma in Health Information Management and Higher National Diploma in Health Information Management.

Know the Eligibility for National Diploma

• Applicants must have five O’Level credits.
• Subjects must include English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
• Credits must come from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in no more than two sittings.
• Applicants must sit for the 2025 UTME examination.
• Applicants must meet the required UTME cutoff point.
• Applicants must use English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as their JAMB subject combination.

Understand the Requirements for Higher National Diploma

• Applicants must have five O’Level credits in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
• Applicants must hold a National Diploma in Health Information Management or Health Records Technician Certificate with at least lower credit.
• Applicants must have a current practising license.
• Applicants must complete one year of mandatory Industrial Training from accredited health institutions.
• Applicants with National Diploma “Pass” and two years of related experience may also be considered.

Learn the Duration of the Programmes

• National Diploma programme lasts two academic sessions, which cover four semesters.
• Higher National Diploma programme also lasts two academic sessions, which cover four semesters.

Follow the Application Process

Applicants must obtain screening PINs from the school’s admission office through Remita payment.

Application fee for National Diploma programme is ₦5,000.

Application fee for Higher National Diploma programme is ₦10,000.

Prepare for Screening

Shortlisted candidates will take part in screening tests.

Shortlisted candidates will also attend interviews.
