UNILAG Hostel Allocation for 2nd Semester 2024/2025

The University of Lagos has opened the hostel accommodation application for the Second Semester of the 2024/2025 academic session.
Applications will start on Sunday, 27 April 2025, at 12:00 midnight and will close on Wednesday, 30 April 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
The hostel balloting exercise will take place on Thursday, 1 May 2025.

Meet the Eligibility Conditions
Only students who meet the following can apply:
- Completed course registration for the 2024/2025 session
- Within the normal duration for their programme
- Paid all required dues, including the LAGMOBILE fee
Students who do not meet these points cannot apply for a bed space.
Follow the Application Process
Students must apply through their student portal during the open period.
The application window is from Sunday, 27 April 2025, to Wednesday, 30 April 2025.
No applications will be accepted after the portal closes.
Understand the Allocation Method
Bed spaces will be given out by a random balloting system.
Only students who apply within the given time will be included in the ballot.
Students who win a bed space must act quickly after allocation.
Pay for Allocated Bed Spaces
Students who get a bed space must pay for it within one week.
If payment is not made within one week, the space will be taken back and given to another student.
Payment steps will be shared after the balloting exercise.
Important Dates to Mark
- Application Opening: 12:00 midnight, Sunday, 27 April 2025
- Application Closing: 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, 30 April 2025
- Balloting Date: Thursday, 1 May 2025
- Payment Deadline: One week after getting the bed space
- Date for Moving into Hostel: To be announced by the Dean of Student Affairs
Students must keep track of these dates to avoid missing their chance.
Note Important Restrictions
Students living in these hostels cannot join the balloting:
- El-Kanemi Hall 2
- Gbajabiamila Hall
- Women Society Hall
- Other similar hostels around the campus
The Student Affairs Division has the full list of students living in these places.
Any student found breaking this rule will face the Students’ Disciplinary Board for social misconduct.
Prepare and Apply Correctly
Make sure all course registration is done before applying.
Check that all dues are fully paid.
Apply early within the window to be part of the balloting.
