FUOTUOKE Announces Temporary Closure of Hostels
Federal University Otuoke (FUOTUOKE) has announced the temporary closure of hostels until further notice due to the ongoing ASUU warning strike.
Following the recent meeting held by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in respect of the ongoing warning strike and its subsequent roll over for an additional Eight (8) weeks, after due consultation with the University Management, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof: Teddy Charles Adias on behalf of Senate has approved a temporary closure of all University Hostels until further notice.
To this end, all students are, therefore, advised to vacate the University Halls of Residence by mid-day tomorrow Wednesday, March 23, 2022. Please note, that this decision is taken for the benefit of students as there is no justification for students to continue their stay on Campus when lectures and other academic activities are not going on.
However, students are to monitor the situation closely in their various homes pending when the strike is suspended or called off.
