This is to notify those who are shortlisted to take part in Total 2012/2013 National Merit Scholarship aptitude test that the test has been scheduled to hold on 25th of May, 2013 at all designated centres nationwide.

The details for the test are as follows;
Accreditation of candidates: 8:30-9:30am
Test proper: 10:00am

All test candidates must be at their designated test centres by 8:00am. An official invite will be sent to your email address (please do check for it) or go to http://scholarships.totalsdd.com.

Notification for test will also be sent to you via sms.

Be informed that there will be NO STIPEND or TRANSPORT REFUND for the test. Also note that you can only take this exam at your designated center; YOU WON’T BE PERMITTED TO WRITE IN ANY OTHER CENTER.

Want your 2013 JAMB UTME Scripts Remarked? How to Apply

So many JAMBites that wrote 2013 UTME via PPT mode were complaining that they worth more than the mark allotted to them by JAMB. Some even went to the extent of protesting at some JAMB offices. So if you are among those who think their scripts were improperly marked or some scores were not released in some certain subjects, you can ask JAMB to remark your script.

Asking JAMB to remark your script isn’t free, you will be required to pay a non refundable fee of N10,000 (ten thousand naira), though it worth it if you are sure of yourself and you don’t want to waste extra year at home. Below is a simple process on how you can get your UTME script remarked.

How to Apply For JAMB Remarking of Script

1. You should be in ABUJA. Since the Jamb Office in Abuja is the Headquarters for the board, all scripts nationwide are usually sent there for marking. Hence it’s only in the Abuja Headquarters that your script can be accessed. So get to the JAMB headquarters.

2. You will need to make a payment of about N10,000 to apply for remarking and a receipt will be issued to you so it is official.

3. Your script will be searched, pulled out and marked in your presence.

The two scenarios that can occur after remarking your scripts are:
==>If JAMB is correct, your N10,000 would be gone.

==>If you are right, i.e. you were marked down before, JAMB will apologize. According to JAMB registrar on NTA, you will receive up to N100,000 as compensation.

Remarking of UTME scripts will start by the 3rd of JUNE, 2013.

Federal Poly Ado 2013 Convocation Postponed Indefinitely

This is to inform the general public and most importantly, students of the Federal polytechnic Ado-Ekiti (FEDPOAD) that their forthcoming convocation ceremony has been postponed indefinitely due to the Academic Staff Union Of Polytechnics and Allied Institutions (ASUP) national strike.

The convocation ceremony that was earlier scheduled to hold on the 25th of May, 2013 has been postponed indefinitely. The Rector of the Polytechnic, Mrs Taiwo Akande said “the governing council who are to host the scheduled convocation are part of the ongoing ASUP strike, citing, that she don’t want any insecure event for celebrants due to the strike”.

A later date will therefore be announced in due course.

All State-Owned Institution in Osun State Resumed

From the latest report reaching us, the strike action embarked upon by the academic staffs of Osun state higher institutions; Osun State College of Education Ilesha, Osun State College of Education Ila-Orangun, Osun State Polytechnic Iree and Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke has been suspended.

All the affected institutions listed above resumed today, 21st of May, 2013. Students of the affected institutions are to be aware of this.

Students have been clamouring they are tired of home, hope they will be happy to resume back to school. Happy resumption!

Rufus Giwa Polytechnic 2012/2013 2nd Semester Resumption Date

This is to notify the general public and most importantly students of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO) that the school management has announced its 2012/2013 academic session second (2nd) semester resumption date after the conclusion of the first (1st) semester on the 20th of May, 2013.

RUGIPO 2012/2013 second semester has been scheduled to begin on the 28th of May, 2013. All students are to resume back on campus on the required date, as lecture will incept immediately upon resumption.

Principal Impregnates Student

The Principal of Baptist High School, Ekinrin/Adde, in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Mr. Ajayi Ajibulu has been accused of impregnating one of his students and trying to abort the pregnancy.

Sources from the town revealed that the girl (name withheld) was a regular caller at the Principal’s house who was a friend to her father, a retired Army officer and usually helps to deliver message from their sister who lived in Lokoja.

Saturday Vanguard gathered that the secret was exposed when a friend of the girl saw a letter written by the principal given to the girl to deliver to a doctor who will help them to abort the pregnancy.

The girl was said to have been scared of undergoing the abortion which was the third time, and therefore, refused to deliver the letter to the doctor on time before the friend saw the letter.

The friend was said to have quickly hinted the girl’s father who raised alarm that caught the attention of the town. Irate youths of the town later ambushed the principal and led him to the palace of the king.

The King, Oba Solomon Hambolu was said to have persuaded the community not to take law into their hands but allow the palace to take action on him.

Saturday Vanguard gathered that the Principal who is also a Deacon in the Church had been having crisis with some members of his staff who have been accusing him of involving in diabolic dealing.

While at the palace, the Principal was said to have escaped and fled the town

Ahmadu Bello University Mid-Semester Break

This is to notify students of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) that the school management has passed a circular that there would be a 1 week mid-semester break.

ABU 1 week mid-semester break has been scheduled to start from May 27, till June 2, 2013. The school management also warns students to resume back on campus when due, as lectures has been set to commence immediately upon resumption.
